Meet the Pastor
Reverend Dr. Eric Hampton Sr. accepted Christ into his life at an early age, working for God as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, Choir Director, and playing several musical instruments. Later in life he answered the call to preach the Gospel in May of 1999. He describes this as the greatest achievement of his life.
Reverend Dr. Hampton started as an associate minister at White Oak Disciples of Christ Church out of Newton Grove, NC. During that fellowship, Reverend Dr. Hampton blessed many with his various inspirational gifts and teachings. He continues this passion as the Pastor of Thaddeus Chapel Disciples of Christ Church, located in Fayetteville N.C.
Reverend Dr. Hampton was born and raised in Johnston County. He is the son of late Deacon Elijah Hampton and Pastor Mae Hampton of Benson, N.C. His family consists of his wife of 28 years, First Lady Melissa Gerald Hampton, and two sons, Eric Hampton Jr, 27 and Treveon Hampton, 20.
